Song of the Day

Fleet Foxes

After a 5 year hiatus, we will soon have a new Fleet Foxes album, Crack-Up.

Father John Misty (Joshua Tillman) is no longer drumming for the band, but the exquisite vocals of Robin Pecknold continue define the band’s distinctive sound.

Third of May is our first listen.

Bob Moses

Last year on the 5th of February, Tearing Me Up by Bob Moses was featured here.

I am so pleased that the remix of the song won a Grammy Award.

The original post is reprinted below and I have added the remix by RAC as well.

Bob Moses is a Canadian electronic duo based in Brooklyn.

Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance attended high school together in Vancouver. Howie went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Vallance to producing dance music.

The two accidently reconnected in New York and formed Bob Moses, the name a tribute to Robert Moses, a major New York City urban planner responsible for many of the iconic bridges and expressways in the City, not to mention Shea Stadium.

Days Gone By is their debut including the song Tearing Me Up.”

Ride

Ride, the shoegazing band from England, broke up in 1996.

Recently reformed, the band released their first new song in 21 years!

Charm Assault came out a week ago. The day after, Ride also gave us the song Home is a Feeling.

Maggie Rogers

Maggie Rogers’ debut EP Now That the Light is Fading features Alaska, a song that went viral in 2016.

This Maryland native combines folk and electronica on this 5-song introduction that also includes the new single On and Off.
