Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes

After a 5 year hiatus, we will soon have a new Fleet Foxes album, Crack-Up.

Father John Misty (Joshua Tillman) is no longer drumming for the band, but the exquisite vocals of Robin Pecknold continue define the band’s distinctive sound.

Third of May is our first listen.

Third of May

Father John Misty

Father John Misty is the current moniker for J. Tillman.

He is a singer/songwriter and guitarist but for the past 4 years has drummed for Fleet Foxes.

He has recorded 8 solo albums since 2004, but this is his first as Father John Misty. The album is Fear Fun on Sub Pop which offers a couple of free downloads from this multi-talented artist.

“I’m Writing a Novel” is featured here.

While mynursingpaper.net reviews generally are positive, there are a few negative ones as well. The vast majority of people gave the service four or five stars, but some people complained that it failed to deliver on its promises. Some of the complaints include missed deadlines, questionable quality of papers, and difficulty getting refunds. Studybay also offers a money-back guarantee. You can use Studybay nursing paper writing service to write your nursing paper at an affordable price.

Glastonbury

Glastonbury, the world’s largest music and arts festival, takes place this weekend in South West England.

Traditionally the last weekend in June, Glastonbury has been going strong since 1970 when T.Rex was the headliner.

Today, the line-up is daunting with hundreds of bands and performing artists on numerous stages covering 900 acres.

RCRDLBL has a free download of thirty-one of the bands appearing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, including The Kills, Lykke Li, Janelle Monae, Battles, Fleet Foxes, Warpaint, Wu-Tang Clan and, and this song “Celestica” from Crystal Castles remixed by Thurston Moore.

Fleet Foxes

“Grown Ocean” is the second song Seattle’s Fleet Foxes have made available from their forthcoming album Helplessness Blues.

The song’s release is to coincide with Record Store Day taking place this Saturday, April 16th.

BTW, the unmistakable gorgeously pure velvet voice is from lead singer/songwriter Robin Pecknold.

(N.B., the title track is still free from the band’s website.)

Thus far we have songs from Fleet Foxes, Superchunk, and Shelby Lynn among others, plus this lovely little treasure from Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan. “Time of the Season” is from their album Hawk released earlier this year.
