LCD Soundsystem

In 2011 James Murphy announced that he was retiring LCD Soundsystem.

The film Shut Up and Play the Hits even chronicled the last and final concert at Madison Square Garden. However, he and his traveling band performed at Coachella in 2016.

We now have two new songs: Call the Police and American Dream, from a yet unnamed forthcoming album.

The National

It’s always a pleasure to receive new music from The National.

I never tire of Matt Berninger’s baritone.

The album, Sleep Well the Beast, will not be ready until September, but we do have the song The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness.

Body Count

Body Count’s new album, Bloodlust, is timelier than ever.

This L.A. heavy metal band fronted by Ice-T caused a stir in 1992 with their song Cop Killer.

New songs like Black Hoodie and No Lives Matter are just as profound.

How little has changed since the formation of this band last century.
