Stand Atlantic

Discovered Stand Atlantic last night as an opening act.

A quartet from Australia, they’ve been around since 2012.

Last year they released F.E.A.R. which includes the standout “Pity Party” (ft. Royal & the Serpent).

Amyl and the Sniffers

Amyl and the Sniffers are a punk rock quartet out of Melbourne.

Comfort to Me will be their sophomore album which includes the song “Security” where she is just trying to get into the pub.

She says that she is not too drunk. Is she?

Stella Donnelly

Now that I have surfaced from the deep I can post once again with a song of the day.

We so enjoyed Stella Donnelly’s powerful Thrush Metal EP last year.

This Welsh/Australian artist now gives us her debut album Beware of the Dogs as we listen to the song Tricks.

Tricks

Julia Jacklin

In Julia Jacklin’s song Turn Me Down she passionately asks her lover to break up with her so she doesn’t have to do it.

It’s included on this Australian singer/songwriters 2nd album Crushing.

Plus an extra track from the album Pressure to Party.

Pressure to Party

Stella Donnelly

Stella Donnelly, a young singer/songwriter from Australia, takes on sexual assault on her debut EP, Thrush Metal.

Boys Will Be Boys

Mechanical Bull

Courtney Barnett

One of the most important artists to emerge in recent years is Courtney Barnett.

Tell Me How You Really Feel will be the title of this Australian’s 3rd album due in the spring.

As a precursor, we have the song Nameless, Faceless with Kim Deal of The Breeders on backing vocals.
