Snail Mail will release her debut album, Lush, in June.

The solo project of Baltimore’s Lindsey Jordan, we have 2 songs in anticipation.

Heat Wave

Pristine

Future Islands

Future Islands, the band now based in Baltimore, has just released their 4th album, Singles.

A daring title, but the first single “Seasons (Waiting on You)” is one of the best songs of this young 2014.

and the video of their live Letterman performance is amazing:

Dan Deacon

Dan Deacon is a contemporary classical electronic pop musician.

Based out of Baltimore, his new album America was inspired by numerous solo journeys crisscrossing the country.

This album however was made with numerous musicians. Deacon is well known for large audience interaction at his concerts.

“True Thrush” is a featured track.

Lower Dens

Lower Dens is a band from Baltimore led by Texas-raised front-woman Jana Hunter.

Nootropics is their just released 2nd album.

“Brains” is the first single and available as a free download.

I’m also particularly fond of the new featured track “Propagation” as heard here in this video.

Beach House

Beach House, the Baltimore duo of Alex Scally and French-born Victoria Legrand, release their 4th album in May.

“Norway” from 2010’s Teen Dream remains as one of the best songs from the last decade.

They continue with their richly beautiful music with the LP Bloom as heard on the first single “Myth”.
