Turbo Fruits is a rock band out of Nashville led by Jonas Stein, formerly of the band Be Your Own Pet.
Their 4th album No Control comes to us in the early spring.
“The Way I Want You”, the 1st single, produced by Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, is a sweet taste.
The Dead Weather
The Dead Weather, the supergroup from Nashville, consisting of Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita, occasionally drop a new song.
“Buzzkill(er)” has recently been released as we long for more.
Cass McCombs
Singer/songwriter Cass McCombs just released the 22 song Big Wheel and Others.
Included on the album are two versions of the song “Brighter!”, one sung by Cass and the other by the late actress Karen Black.
Black starred in such films as Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces and Nashville. She sang backup on an earlier McCombs’ album and was able to record this song before succumbing to cancer in August.

Those Darlins
Those Darlins is a rock band from Nashville.
Their 3rd album, Blur the Line, is due next week and the band is ready for its close-up.
The first single “Oh God” is a free download form their website as a taste.

JEFF the Brotherhood
The appropriately named band JEFF the Brotherhood consists of two brothers from Nashville, Jake and Jamin Orrall.
They are the sons of Boston singer/songwriter Robert Ellis Orrall.
Their 7th album Hypnotic Nights will have major label distribution and features the summer song “Sixpack”.
The Ettes
The Ettes, LA transplants that now call Nashville home, have just released their fourth album Wick Will.
The trio of Coco Hames (vocals/guitar), Poni Silver (drums), and Jem Cohen (bass) embody that raw carefree fearless spirit of punk rock.
“Excuse” is the current featured song from the album.
