Real Estate come forth with a new album, In Mind, in March.
Since their last album, Matt Mondanile, one of the founding members has left to concentrate on his band Ducktails.
Pleased that the band’s melodic sounds continue as heard in the first single Darling.

With a bit of downtime for the band Real Estate we recently heard Ducktails, the side project of guitarist Matt Mondanile.
Now we have the first solo album from lead singer Martin Courtney.

Real Estate, the Indie band from New Jersey, gave us the album Days in 2011, one of the best of that year.
Their 3rd, Atlas, is due next month and we now have the first single: “Talking Backwards”.

Real Estate is a relatively new band hailing from New Jersey.
They follow their well-received debut from 2009 with their second album, Days, in the middle of the month.

It’s been ten years since The Strokes album, Is This It, debuted.
This seminal record catapulted New York City once again to the forefront of rock ‘n’ roll, something we hadn’t experienced since the early days of punk.
Stereogum has compiled a free tribute album celebrating Is This It, featuring such bands as Peter Bjorn and John, Real Estate, Owen Pallett, and the Morning Benders.
Like most tribute albums, the covers are hit or miss, versions of favorite songs worthy of deep praise or intense resentment.
I particularly like Frankie Rose’s rendition of “Soma”.
