Song of the Day

Architects

Architects, an intense British Metalcore band are wise beyond their years as they lament in their new song “When We Were Young”.

“When we were young

We thought we had the whole world figured out

We flew into the sun

We thought we had the whole world figured out

Now all we do is speak in tongues

We play a losing game

Only now we hear the shouts fading out

We flew into the sun”

Juneteenth/Ben Harper

On Sunday we celebrate Juneteenth commemorating the end of slavery.

This is our youngest federal holiday. Only the 2nd year.

Ben Harper has just given us a song apropos for not only the holiday, but also how as a country and as individuals, we have not dealt with the effects of slavery.
