Mark Lanegan
Mark Lanegan came out of the Seattle grunge scene with his band Screaming Trees.
Noted for his unique baritone voice he went on to release multiple solo albums and was called upon for numerous collaborations with Queens of the Stone Age, The Gutter Twins (with Greg Dulli of Afghan Whigs) and singing with Isobel Campbell (Belle and Sebastian) and supergroup Mad Season among.
He died on the 22nd.
