Lopsided World of L comes to an end.
Jonathan L has devoted his life to new music both here in the States and from Berlin where he met the love of his life. Jonathan and I have been friends for so many years and it has been an honour to host his weekly podcast. Our passion for discovering new artusts has never waned and his uncanny ability to expose artists from around the world has always amazed me. He has enhanced my life and hopefully yours as well. His previous shows will remain here at The Oedipus Project.
In Jonathan’s own words:
“Time to say goodbye for now— not permanent but
temporary for sure. The end of an 18 year career
of this version of Lopsided World Of L 1.0. Love spending my
whole life within the world of discovering new artists
and new music over 41 years. That will never stop.
So, I am announcing I am finally going to write my
personal memoir. I look very forward to giving readers
something more than just a book about a guy in the
world of music. Think you will find it fascinating.
A sincere thanks for all of you listeners and musicians
that have enjoyed my work for you and stay awake for
Lopsided World Of L 2.0 possibly.
Somehow we will stay in touch as time moves on.
Love, Jonathan”
Ólafur Arnalds is an Icelandic producer and multi-instrumentalist.
He happened upon Ella McRobb on social media improving on one of his compositions.
He contacted her and together they created this truly beautiful song “and we’ll leave it there…”.
Discovered Stand Atlantic last night as an opening act.
A quartet from Australia, they’ve been around since 2012.
Last year they released F.E.A.R. which includes the standout “Pity Party” (ft. Royal & the Serpent).
One last great SHE SHOW from Jonathan L.

Lucinda Chua is a singer, songwriter, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in South London. Primarily using her voice, a cello, and an array of effects units, Chua writes ambient pop songs that are intimate, atmospheric, and totally enchanting. (Stated perfectly from the 4AD website.)

Depeche Mode have been with us since 1980.
They continue to create splendid music and will soon release their 15th album, Memento Mori, and the first since the death of founding member Andy Fletcher.
“Ghosts Again” with that classic Depeche Mode sound is the first single, no doubt written with Andy in mind.
Los Angeles based Nightjacket added a new vocalist a few years ago.
Canadian-born Andrea Wasse’s voice makes this a band to watch as heard on their new song “Don’t Say a Word”.
New music many of us didn’t know existed from Jonathan L.

Tara MacLean is one of the great artists/people in the world.
Self-taught, her talent is nonpareil: a voice of a goddess, a heart of an angel.
Her memoir: Song of the Sparrow, is due out in March with an album that is the soundtrack to follow.
“Sparrow” is appropriately the 1st song.
