Captain Sensible

The Damned

The Damned was the first punk rock band in the UK to release a single; and it was the first one that I played in 1977.

The band was also one of my first interviews at my tiny college station. Truly dreadful. Punks to punks.

The Damned has been through various transformations over the years with Dave Vanian, the lead vocalist, the only constant.

Captain Sensible from the original band has rejoined the current lineup.

Evil Spirits is due in the spring and features the anthemic Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow.
