Water From Your Eyes

Water From Your Eyes, the art-rock duo Rachel Brown and Nate Amos from Brooklyn, offer their new album Everyone’s Crushed.

Listen here to the 1st single “Barley”.

In the 2nd single, “True Life”, they sing of how Neil Young would not let them use some of the lyrics to “Cinnamon Girl”.

The Veldt

The Veldt is a band from Raleigh, North Carolina.

They were signed to Capitol Records in 1989 but the label rejected their debut album, Illuminated, and the band didn’t release another one until 1994.

This long lost album was produced by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins and now the album will finally be available.

The song “The Everlasting Gobstopper” is our first listen.

Thanks to Earl Douglas for the insight.

PJ Harvey

It’s been 7 years since we last heard from PJ Harvey.

Her 10th album, I Inside the Old Year Dying, is due in July.

“A Child’s Question, August” is her advance offering.

P.S. I first experienced PJ Harvey years ago at a small club in Boston/Cambridge with about 11 other people. Iconoclastically fascinating as always.
