This Swedish wunderkind has created unique EDM, none more than his new single “Wake Me Up!”
The song will be heard on his album #TRUE in September. The vocals are by American soul singer Aloe Blacc.

Empire of the Sun is the Australian electronic duo Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore.
They debuted in 2008, toured, then took some time off and only just released their second album, Ice on the Dune, this past June.
These colorful performers now give us the infectious “Alive”, perfect for the summer.

Boston’s Dropkick Murphys have raised over $300,000 for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Through the band’s charitable foundation, the Claddagh Fund, 100% of the proceeds directly benefit those affected by the bombings and their families.
The Dropkicks raised the money by selling a specially designed t-shirt and hosting a benefit concert. They continue to generate funds with a Charity EP of three of their songs including “Rose Tattoo” featuring Bruce Springsteen.
Transplants, the punk rock supergroup with core members Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Travis Barker (Blink-182) and Skinhead Rob Aston, have recently released their 3rd album In a Warzone.
They have recorded and toured together on and off since 1999 but clearly their other projects have kept them busy.
“Something’s Different” is the current single.
The chanteuse, Neko Case, known both for her solo projects and her work with The New Pornographers, has teamed up with guitarist M. Ward (a la She & Him) for her unorthodox song called “Man”.
“Man” will be included on her forthcoming album, the wonderfully titled The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You.
A holiday week for us but always Jonathan L on Monday.

The Folks Below is another musical project from the exotically stunning Holly Brewer.
While her band HUMANWINE is on hiatus, Holly’s evocative songwriting and striking voice are showcased on this self-titled record crowdfunded via Indiegogo.
“Eat Your Face” is a love song like none other.
Volcano Choir is another project of Justin Vernon of Bon Iver fame.
Collaborating once again with members and former members of the Milwaukee instrumental band Collections of Colonies of Bees, the 2nd album Repave is due in September.
“Byegone” is our first taste.
