TV on the Radio, the wildly eclectic progressive indie band out of Brooklyn, have a new album Seeds, and the first since the untimely death of bassist Gerard Smith.
So hard to choose which song to feature so we will post the first two singles.

Sadly Gerard Smith, bassist for TV on the Radio, died of lung cancer on Wednesday.
The just released Nine Types of Light is the last album that he appeared on.

Gerard Smith lives through his music.

The acclaimed band TV on the Radio (TVOTR) will release their fourth studio album, Nine Types of Light, in April.
This Brooklyn five-piece has just sent us a new song from the album.
“Will Do” is the first single and this sensual groove is the Song of the Day.

Holly Miranda released her first solo album this year. She was the former lead singer of the Brooklyn band Jealous Girlfriends before moving off on her own. This album, The Magician’s Private Library, was produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, and we featured “Forest Green Oh Forest Green” in a previous podcast. She was one of those artists who had to cancel her entire European tour due to the volcanic ash but is now set to perform across America. I particularly enjoy her dreamy music later in the evening. “Waves” is the Song of the Day.
