Saint Etienne

The English trio known as Saint Etienne (Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs) has been creating delicate alternative rhythmic music since 1990.

They also write an abundance of particularly good Christmas music, a most difficult feat.

Words and Music by Saint Etienne will be their first new album in over 7 years due in late May.

“Tonight” is the single.

Bombay Bicycle Club

Bombay Bicycle Club is the latest band from England that will soon make a splash in this country.

This quartet from North London take their name from a chain of Indian restaurants.

Their third album, A Different Kind of Fix, was released at the end of August and is beginning to garner the attention it deserves.

“Shuffle” is the first single.

The Horrors

The Horrors, the quintet from England, prepare to release their third album, Skying, in August.

The Horrors’ sound certainly has matured since the raw post-punk stylings heard on their first record, The Horrors EP, in 2006 which included the song “Sheena is a Parasite”.

You can stream the entire Skying album on the band’s website.

“Still Life” is the richly rendered first single.
